Tailoring turns cloth into components, armor, and containers, supplies padding to leatherworkers, and relies on proper fittings for finer work. Getting started
Use the right tool and keep blood off the fabric
- Use a Tailoring Kit for basic recipes.
- The source guide specifies a Loom for larger combines.
- A Seam Ripper salvages cloth armor. Salvage is its own recipe, not an extra output from ordinary crafting.
Portable crafting workflow
- Open the portable container and click its hammer icon to see known recipes.
- Keep the container empty and ingredient stacks in other bags so the recipe menu can draw from them.
- Place individual components inside and combine them when experimenting to discover a recipe.
Some recipes are available only at a fixed station. Do not infer that requirement solely from ingredient count or visible container slots.
