Alchemy

Every herb contains a possibility: a useful tonic, a valuable reagent, or a lesson someone survives only once. Bring me plants and powders and I will brew temporary boons, clever utilities, and materials the other crafters keep begging for. Do not touch the green flask; I am still measuring how far the smoke travels.

Getting started

Find the least unstable instructor

  • Alchemist Vizyl trains Alchemy in the Blackfeather Bazaar of Night Harbor.
  • The alchemist beside him sells the required flasks and vials and buys excess cauldrons and ingredients.

Grind first, ask questions later

  1. Buy a Mortar and Pestle from the alchemy vendor.
  2. Place it in a main inventory bag slot so it can be opened.
  3. Open it like a bag and click the hammer icon on its right side.
  4. Grind herbs and reagents into powders—the first half of Alchemy.

Brew what remains

  1. Place the crafted powder and a vial inside a Cauldron.
  2. Combine them to produce the final potion, serum, or other result.
  3. A permanent starter Cauldron is available from the alchemy vendor. Temporary Cauldrons and upgraded Cauldrons are made through Blacksmithing.

Reading the recipe table

Unless a recipe says otherwise, powders weigh 0.1 and are TINY; potions and serums weigh 1.0 and are SMALL. The ordinary Size and Weight columns are omitted to save space, and the recipe columns can be sorted.
