By Porbor's shriveled organ, we've got another one! You would-be recruits are stumbling in faster than copper coin falling from a drunkard's pouch!
Lurinda Steele sizes you up.
But you might not be a complete waste of time. Speaking of a waste of time, take your note to my son Elrind to file. He'll complete your registration at the academy so you can start your training.
While you're at it, tell him to give you the research he's supposed to have finished for me.
You'll find him in the academy's library - if he's not skulking about the entrance to the garrison's tavern again.
MOVE!
Lurinda Steele motions you away.

You're wanting to complete your registration at the academy, then. I'm sure you're eager to start your training.
Unfortunately, it might be weeks before I can file your application. Mother has tasked me with important research, so I'm very busy. Unless...
Maybe we can help each other. If you gather the items for my research, I can expedite your registration. How does that sound? Truth be told, I'd rather stay in the library anyway.
Here's the list of items, as well as some charcoal and parchment for the frottage.

What took yo uso long? Did Elrind send you on one of his scavenger hunts? Never mind. Don't keep me waiting again.
Take this tunic. It will identify you as one of our trainees.
We practice in the garrison, but true training occurs in the field. And this is where the Steel Talons excel.
That's why our most promising members are sought after by the Night Harbor Guard or the Red Mantles.
The Ashira have been harassing the city's borders and this is as good as an opportunity as ever to support the efforts of the Night Harbor Guard and the Red Mantles, and to distinguish yourself as a competent member of the Steel Talons.
Fill this pack with proof of your assistance in culling the Ashira menace. Their warriors' bracers will do. Let our archers tend to their scouts.
