Find Sekhmet below the library in the morgue. Give him your returned note and ask about the substance he needs.

Welcome to the Concourse of Souls! As the professor may have mentioned, I am Sekhmet. I will assist you in your studies.
As you can see, we try to keep the morgues well-stocked to accommodate a broad varied range of study. Fortunately, Night Harbor is generous in its donations to our cause... the city produces a lot of dead.
Sekhmet sighs, and then perks up again.
Buckmarr, our alchemist, asked me to gather some materials for him. I genuinely do not enjoy the outdoors, so perhaps you could assist with this? Take this jar and fill it with Incarnal Residue. Eight should do. Then bring it to Buckmarr.
Sekhmet squints and leans forward, as if expecting a question from you.

Excellent question! Incarnal residue is the name that Buckmarr has given a fascinating substance he is researching. He is very fond of giving things new names.
The residue can be found on the bones of reanimated skeletons. Though Buckt disagrees, I believe it manifests most commonly when the skeleton's life, or more accurately, animating energy is drained from its corporeal form through necromantic magic.
Keep that in mind.
Good hunting, and do not forget to give the jar to Buckmarr once it has been filled!

Fill the clay jar
Gather eight Incarnal Residue from reanimated skeletons and combine them in the Small Clay Jar. Sekhmet suggests necromantic magic may help residue appear; this is his dialogue, not a confirmed drop requirement.
If the jar seems to disappear after combining, check your tradeskill containers.

Deliver the filled jar to Buckmarr
Find Buckmarr Gorstagg in the Concourse of Souls. Give him the filled jar, collect your robe, and keep his new list.

Give Buckmarr the filled Small Clay Jar, not an empty jar.
