Old Daoud is a wonderful friend of ours. Such a truly observant man, with a fantastic memory. It's incredible how much freight and how people move through the harbor in a given day, and yet there's Daoud smoking his pip and remembering every little detail. Such a gifted man.
Jamee Langris say, "You'll likely find him in his office at the docks, or walking nearby smoking his pipe and taking in... everything.

You'll not want to tamper with that, lest the contents be dissolved. Goodbye now. Master Jamee has my many thanks!

/say Where is Guard Jeskal?
One's infatuations do make for interesting study. Our lovely guard is quite the case. Fortunately one of our dangers really seems to cool the flames our poor guard builds up standing out there in the sun all day. She's provided the perfumed silken sash to help him get through the day.
Jamee Langris puts a finger to his chin.
Actually, I think it'll have the opposite effect. Imagine that. What a tease.
Either way, he's recently lost his posting in Highport Terrace, so you'll find him at the Northern City Gate.
It's a shame really. He must have been bitter about losing his cushy posting in such a posh part of the city.

/say Where is Cordellius Hollmion?
Cordellius is quite the character. He's a slithery one and so full of ambition. We've found what he needs, but we'll see how long it's him we're friendly with. He's playing a tricky game, and he might soon find that we're better situated by making that known.
Don't worry, he's harmless. You'll find him in the small library within the Spellbinder's Spire in Sageside. Don't get confused and find yourself in the larger library across the way.

He's one of our newer friends... a member of that group of archaelogists from Easthymn, here to explore the various holes they keep finding in the ground in this region. Dreadful work if you ask me, but the things they discover are quite interesting. As are the people that are interesting in those interesting things.

So, what do we do with you next?
I've got it! It's about time we send you on a real adventure!
You say

/say A real adventure?
Oh yes, an adventure indeed! Unfortunately, you're not quite at the stage where you can live glamorously off your good looks and well-established name. But never fear, dear... you'll get there.
From now on, you'll live a life of danger... and utility! Just think of how much inspiration you'll gather for your great songs of gallantry. Oh, and having a scar or two makes for fascinating party conversation and pillow talk.
... I'll get to the point. I've promised someone a piece of information about a certain not-so-secret smuggling operation. Scout out the camp along the western coast, in the shadow of Fallen Watch.
While you're out there, if you happen to find a smuggler wearing a ruby-inlaid gold ring, please retrieve it... preferably with the finger still attached, if you can manage it. The ring's rightful owner will be grateful.
You're shaping up to be quite the jack-of-all-trades, which is certainly fortunate for me, as I also have a second task I'd like to ask of you.
Well, this one is rather dreary, I'm afraid. A friend of ours took an amulet into the newly excavated tomb outside the city.
It was meant to allow communion with the dead, but apparently, it still needs some work... or at least, that's the suspicion, given reports of what happened to the person who attempted to use the amulet.
Ordinarily, we'd have one of the Freebooters' archaeologists find it for us, but they've been having trouble staying alive in there. The Red Mantles are out of the question, as well, since the owner isn't particularly fond of authority figures.
The amulet itself is silver and bears the engraving of a woman's face. Perhaps they were attempting to speak with a ghastly gal.
Jamee Langris shrugs and pats you on the shoulder, nodding kindly.
Would you be a dear and bring both the ruby ring and necklace back to me?
