A poison is most useful when the target notices it after the rogue has gone. This Rogue-only profession extracts toxins and prepares weapon poisons, each recipe demanding its own knowledge and skill. If the bottle is labeled “probably,” let someone else open it.
Getting started
Enter by the proper door—or do not be seen entering
- Learn Poison Making from a Rogue class trainer or choose the Poison Making trait during character creation.
- The profession can be learned at level 1, although the first documented recipe begins at level 4.
Tools of the discreet trade
- Poison Making Kit: Sold by a poison maker and fitted with four ingredient slots.
- Trainee's Poison Making Kit: Granted with the Poison Making minor non-combat trait.
Once learned, recipes are crafted inside the kit and the resulting poisons can be applied directly to weapons. Some recipes are purchased from vendors; others are discovered through experimentation like traditional tradeskills.
